The Hunted (2003)
3/10
Pointless, contrived and no credibility.

The only great thing about this movie is the abundance of stunning scenery and that is all. A trained assassin has nightmares and goes on the run killing civilians, police and FBI in the process! that is it! The story is pretty much non existent.

Everything is so contrived and set up so that L.T. Bonham (Tommy Lee Jones) can track Aaron Hallam (Benicio Del Toro) to a point where Bonham is no more than a couple of a hundred yards within Hallam's vicinity at all times while on the run. Hallam (Benicio Del Toro) could have gone anywhere in the city yet Bonham knows exactly which road, which street, which field, Hallam is going to by judging one single footprint in a field after escaping the sewers. Somehow by telekinesis Tommy's character follows Benicio to the exact same forest after floating down a river and by sheer amazement Bonham finds a tripwire that just so happens to been set by Hallam...

COME ON! thousands of trees and he finds this very one within a matter of minutes????

Then somehow Bonham gets hit in the leg and falls into a noose of rope that attaches to his leg and just so happens he doesn't miss this??????

COME ON! A massive forest and Bonham just happens to step on a rope trap the size of a dinner plate that just so happens to send him dangling?????

Bonham floats down the river after freeing himself and out of all the countless rocks he climbs on guess who is waiting for him? Hallam!!!!!!!

What did the story achieve? NOTHING! A shame because this had the hallmarks of a good fugitive like movie but fails miserably.
