Curly Top review
20 April 2020
An orphan and her older sister become the wards of a wealthy young man. Oh, my goodness, this is such horribly cute mush. Designed to cash in on six-year-old Shirley Temple's overwhelming cuteness, Curly Top simply doesn't know when to stop ladling on the saccharine. Worth watching, though, for Temple's master-class on how to command audience attention while sat on leading man John Boles's lap.
