Speaking as someone who didn't even know the show existed I loved this movie!

Aliens are invading the Earth to do nefarious things such as destroying human structures and stealing human organs. A secretive, internationally backed organization (ala X-Com) is created to combat the threat. The miniatures, the plot, and the acting all come together to form some quality cheese. The sets/future tech is a wonderful blend of late 60's to early 70's technology combined with the type of futurism that is classically seen from that era (e.g. there's a moon base that the humans operate from but they use very old style SAM trucks to combat incoming UFOs). The costumes are equally weird. All of the computer operators (think Uhura in Star-Trek) all have the same purple hair piece and sparkly jump suit while one of their commander officers sports a fishnet shirt with a tank top undershirt. However the real treat here is the dialog. The principle actor is truly a marvel and delivers his lines with such conviction even when they are as cheesy as can be.
