Seladon's protest vote
27 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Seladon faces the fallout of her mother's murder at skekVar's sword and chooses to side with him, either in fear of facing the Skeksis' wrath or because she doesn't know their true nature or both, skekSil returns to the Castle of the Crystal in abject humiliation, and our heroes finally come together with the common goal of stopping the Skeksis and end the spread of the Darkening. Not my favourite episode. The scene of the Gourmand, skekAyuk, taking a leak in a corridor was nauseating, although Louise Gold's puppetry is terrific. We barely got to know her character in the original film and she really shines, here. I can't believe I'm saying this but I almost pity skekSil here. Usually skekTek is the one who has it hard, but ever since he got rewarded he went full Dr. Birx and ignored the consequences in favor of being included. All this for a bird. However, skekTek would be aware of the danger of a Gelfling uprising, but since he hates skekSil for getting his eye gouged out, his jeering is understandable.
