Review of Riverworld

Riverworld (2003 TV Movie)

Warning: Spoilers
I started to watch and concluded this was a cheap 70s version of the books. It has all the features of that era: clunky filming clunky fight scenes stilted dialogue stereotypical, one-dimensional characters, particularly Nero being the baddie with a posh British accent instant technology without the mechanisms to produce it (I'm looking at you, lathe-turned decorative supports on the paddle-steamer and perfectly-synched cogs I'm its engine room) non-stop violins in the background

I was astounded when I found out it's 2003. When you consider LOTR Return of the King, Pirates of the Caribbean and Terminator 3 all came out the same year...
