This is my first review I am writing and what a show to do it on. If there is one word to describe Dark, that word would be stunning. Absolutely and utterly stunning. This series just shows what happens when you give talented writers and directors the freedom to express their talents.

Season 1 starts off with a fairly simple story line to follow about a police investigation in a small German town. The investigation starts to unravel some secrets that shock the residents along with us viewers. You soon realise that this is no ordinary show and when you come to this realisation, strap yourself in for a crazy ride. Season one keeps on giving with one shocking revelation after another and leaves you wanting more after every episode.

I found myself slightly worried with season 2 as I thought that the show may follow other shows in that it loses its way with its story. I could not have been more wrong. Everything that worked well in season 1 was amplified in season 2. We carried on with the emotional and shocking journeys of our characters. Yes at times it was a lot to take in but if you really give this show your full attention, you won't be let down.

And finally we arrive at Season 3. I was extremely nervous before this season was released due to the forever expanding world this show had built. I didn't know if the creators would be able to control let alone increase the madness that we had experienced up until this season. I was proven wrong once again as they were able to strike again with some amazing and original story telling. The ending also was an extremely satisfying end to this incredible journey.

Sometimes a show is remembered for its script, soundtrack cinematography or casting. This show will be remembered for all of these as it absolutely nailed them all.

I would recommend this show to anyone who enjoys TV and cinema as this show has it all. Cannot wait to see everyone receive the recognition they deserve for this show as it will be coming.

Ps...a good tip would be to make some notes on the side whilst watching the show. Helps you keep up with what's going on!
