The show came out 10 years ago from me writing this review. Yes, I'm super late to the party. The thing is, I'm 23 now, so I was actually the targeted demographic for this show. I just had no idea this show existed until this year.
I found it randomly while looking for something to watch on Hulu. At first, the cheesy poster threw me off and I discarded it as a cheaper version of the movie. But this is such a good show. Even at my age!
It's so funny, there were moments were I literally laughed out loud (which is not common for me). I wish this series would have gotten better marketing or something because it is gold. Lindsey Shaw and Meaghan Martin portray the sisters perfectly, the chemistry between Patrick and Kat is great, and the one-liners from Cameron and the dad are so so funny. My favorite character was Cameron, especially when he gets into a relationship with Dawn. She is very funny too.
Overall, I wish this show would've had more success. It was clear they were expecting higher ratings, as the last episode was very open-ended. Something must have happened with the marketing because I watched abc family (or freeform) religiously and it still never popped up on my radar. Such a shame!
It's crazy to me that The Secret Life of the American Teenager got 5 seasons while 10 Things only got one. But anyways, if you haven't watched it already, do it! You won't regret it.
