I think that casting in this movie was terrible. Vanesa is wonderful actress but simply wrong for this part. One of the main things in Fanias book was that she was pettite. Atmosphere is also wrong, I could not relate with scenes of the murder camp, I know it is a movie, but it was verry obvious that everything is staged. I did not like this ecranization much. I loved Fanias book, tough.
