An unusual and unexpected film but a good one. It's more of a character study than a mystery or horror film. There were a few great funny moments but I would not have labeled it a comedy, more of a drama really, but not a wallowing kind of drama. It's snappy and moves fast and kept me engaged until the end. Riki Lindholme is great and Jim Cummings turns a character who might have otherwise been insufferable into one who can still evoke sympathy. A thumbs up from me.
