Or is there? 80s thrillers and Science Fiction came in masses ... there were quite a few copycats too. While most tried to steal from Star Wars (which in and of itself had "borrowed" heavily on so many things), in the horror part of Sci Fi they had different ideas! Nudity and violence was one of the main ingredients, with some really amazing (for the time) effects! Especially considering the low budget at the time.
And this has some star power to boost too! Robert Englund who maybe was auditioning for Freddy without knowing it - especially in that scene ... if you see it, you'll understand. And Sid Haig ... so many names, also behind the camera, that made their first steps and had the freedom to try things out, without being judged to harshly. A fine horror Sci-Fi that will tickle you in all the right places ... if you dig it
