A nice, simple but weird Italian crime film. When it comes to the title and the cast of the film, one most likely thinks of the classic "the purple rivers". But in the end he cannot achieve that high level, and he doesn't have to. It's always enough for a cozy movie night. The first half of the film in particular is very lengthy and the story takes too long to build up. But the second half is all the better.
