Good documentary about the pros and cons of photography around the globe
26 April 2021
This National Geographic documentary is about the photographers and all that they have to go through for making sometimes, spellbinding pictures of places where the normal person rarely would go. Along with the interviews of all the photographers there is also footage of their ventures around the world (and also some animal footage) and also lots of photos from the National Geographic magazines of those years.

The cinematography and soundtrack are good as always and the narration by Keith David is well suited. My small problems with it are that at times there were shown more photographs than footage of the photographers taking the actual pictures, and also that a few of the photos of the people from the poor countries were very painful to watch especially if you consider the political situations of those years. However, a decent documentary well worth your time.
