Warning: Spoilers
Robert Emhardt plays 'Riley McGrath', a slimy politician who apparently is above the law in some state in the rural south. One of this constituents is angry at him and confronts him at some roadhouse. While the guy is being aggressive and obnoxious, Riley overreacts...pulling out a gun and shooting the man dead. And, since he's well connected and powerful, he's not prosecuted for the killing.

Not surprisingly, the dead man's sons are NOT happy and the oldest, Verge (Peter Fonda) concocts a plan...but what?! He disappears to Charleston for six months....and returns as a barber. But what does this have to do with revenge for his daddy's death? As for the youngest, he's mentally challenged and has no idea what Verge is planning.

I think the most interesting thing about this episode is seeing George Lindsey play his role. Just before becoming a regular on "The Andy Griffith Show", he appeared in quite a few episodes of "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour"....and in this one he's a real thug...which is quite a departure from the nice country boy persona he later cultivated. It's also interesting seeing Peter Fonda in the episode...playing a most unusual role.

So is it any good? Yes....and what I especially like is that in the epilogue Hitchcock DIDN'T say anything to undo the episode....which he often did. Instead, it's just a great story of revenge...well written and entertaining.
