I went into this thinking I would love it and it would be a movie that I'd actually want to watch again at some point. I was wrong. I liked the male lead, he was adorable and his character was great. I disliked the female lead. Her character was hard for me to like. I found her both boring and kind of bratty. I didn't care for the actress and felt that she just wasn't very good. I wish they had used Morgan Kohan or some other newer Hallmark actress instead. I disliked the ending tbh. The male lead was in love with the other woman and super depressed when she left. Then out of nowhere he's in love with his best friend and rushing to tell her? There was no real moment between them building up to this great love before hand. Just a little jealousy beyond their great friendship. They were believable as close friends though. I genuinely thought (through 90% of the movie), that this was a movie where he realizes that maybe the best friend/girl next door isn't for him and he would actually be with the other woman. They built that relationship up throughout the whole movie when they should've worked to build up some inkling of real romance between the leads. Ugh I wish they would remake this one because I thought the plot would be so cute. It could've been good but alas it was not.
