The script is showing

Many woody Allen movies are script heavy, which can be excused if you like his brand of filmmaking. However, in this case, the acting could barely keep up with the script - it felt like a table read - and that too like a first one. Pacing and rhythm of dialogue felt rushed even for a woody Allen. Chalamet and his girlfriend in the movie were the most natural. Otherwise, it felt hard to watch, even with the supposed love letter to rainy NYC.
