Just because he's shivering a little . . .

Warning: Spoilers
. . . the grasshopper changes his tune from "The World Owes Me a Living" to "I Owe the World a Living." Totally lacking the courage of his convictions, this protagonist is the sort of mealy-mouthed flip-flopper mirrored in Real Life Today by most if not all American politicians. Worse yet, the grasshopper had it right with the original version of his tune. The charter of the Intergalactic Rights Association makes it perfectly clear that only rogue worlds would fail to provide a living for all of its inhabitants. This is because no one asks to be born. Imagine what a complete nightmare it would be if an individual was NOT able to "live off the land," and prosper on his or her native planet without being reduced to some sort of demeaning slave labor!
