3/10
spoiler: the title is misleading!

I came across this old DVD from '96 and on a moody night in November I thought I give it a shot. I expected a light mob flick but what I got was a mocking movie, that makes a parody of the "tough guys" with a watered down performance of Hopper and Madsen. While Frankie (Hopper) is the gentleman anti-hero his counter part is the mafia boss Sal (Madsen). Somehow they share a underdog relationship and at the same time Sal wants to be a friend for the much older, but disrespected Franky. On the other side there is Joey (Sutherland), a desperated porn flick director and the wannabe actress Margaret (Hannah). Both play extremly charming and this made the movie worth watching.

My conclusion is to indulge the entertaining part of the film if you can't feel for the desperate characters. The storytelling is a incohesive and my DVD was poorly edited with some dialogues being cut out apruptly.
