5/10
Technically competent but underwhelming overall.

Honestly, 'The Haunting Of Pottersfield (2019)' doesn't affect me in the slightest. It's a pretty weak horror short that's, essentially, just a series of jump scares. It doesn't have much atmosphere and its plot is pretty much non-existent, even more so than in most horror films of a similar length. The thing is basically split into two sections. Thought there is a little bit of escalating tension as it reaches its climax, it's a mostly underwhelming combination of quiet and loud, quiet and loud, quiet and loud. The cinematography is mostly nice (despite a few slightly soft shots here and there) and the location is pretty great, too. Plus, a couple of the scares are confidently crafted. It's a technically well-made movie, it just doesn't really do it for me for some reason. It's the sort of thing that you can appreciate more than actually like. It's a decent, if unremarkable, affair. 5/10.
