Korean movie set in the 17th century. A middle aged man raises his daughter in the mountains as Korea is oppressed by the Ming Empire. This movie spends the first half setting up with a lot of politics only for the inevitable most predictable thing happens. Once he finally picks up his sword, the action is okay. It's clear that the script writer loves their wise sayings. The contrast is turned way up and it looks like they are playing on green screens for a couple of scenes, also the contrast does terribly at the start with the locations shot in darkness.
