Mission: Impossible is the first entry of the Mission: Impossible series and a rather weak one. Effects and action are important aspects of spy movies and while the movie would be slightly better with the technology of today, it still would have been a pretty poor film. The plot is quite convoluted and confusing at times, there is barely any action and the identity of the mole is very predictable.
However, the movie isn't unwatchable and there is a pretty memorable scene with a heist involving a big vault that has become quite iconic.
