6/10
Long and slow...
30 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
While I cannot fault the movie's style, acting or idea, I really cannot praise it, because other than a little interest that a viewer can have in reality of wife's experiences throughout the movie, movie cannot offer anything more in terms of tension, scares of interest and even frequent nudity and gore can't save the movie from mediocrity. Some could argue that it's themes of sexuality and woman freedom were new at the time, but these themes were explored in movies before, so I give it 6/10 and I recommend it only to genre veterans who want a history lesson in Spanish horror. If nothing else, it's nice to see Simón Andreu not being a bad guy in a movie.
