The best episode of this season yet, I loved it. All of these different elements are so masterfully balanced, in a way that I worried wasn't possible. There are so many pitfalls this thing could've hit (with Harrison's character in particular) that are expertly dodged. I'm in awe of how well they pulled this one off. What's also so quintessentially "Dexter" about this episode is how much hope the show gives you that things could work out, before ultimately giving us a cold reminder that nothing ends well for Dexter Morgan. This was an excellently executed episode, and I'm excited (yet nervous) to see where it all leads. Next week's installment seems likely to be the FINAL final episode of Dexter, so here's hoping they can pull it off as well as they have this whole season!
