"Dexter: New Blood" continues to be better than anyone had any right to expect!

Warning: Spoilers
"Dexter: New Blood" continues to be the most pleasant surprise on television in a long while. "The Family Business" continues the story and wraps up one of the major plotlines, setting up what looks to be a gut-wrenching finale, whether it be for the season or the series.

This episode has one of my favorite moments in it; when Harrison asks how many time Dexter has done this, Dexter replies "In the hundreds." After a pause, Harrison says, "Then you've saved thousands of innocent lives." Dexter smiles and in the voice-over says, "That's right, I did." What a wonderful callback to the Season 1 finale, where Dexter's fantasy is for everyone to know what he's done and to praise him for it.

Also, the interpersonal relationships continue to shine through. Deb's ghost hugging Dexter begging him not to tell Harrison the truth, Dexter overwhelmed with emotion when Harrison gives him the drawing of Deb, the ever-changing dynamics between Dexter/Jim and Angela as well as between Harrison and Audrey... so well done. And I love that Angela is figuring everything out... in the original series, Dexter was always asking, "Why hasn't anybody discovered me? I'm right here under their noses." As the forensic specialist, I think he always somehow knew that if anyone focused on him, they'd discover his secret. And that's what Angela did.

Can't recommend this series and this episode highly enough. Now all they need to do is stick the landing next episode.
