This curious dramatic podcast spin-off was an instant watch due to the absorbing performance of Joshua Jackson and the strangely addictive partnership of Slater & Baldwin but structurally it's a wild ride. It lurches backwards and forwards in time and tonally can go from courtroom drama to comedic parody and back. Eight episodes was probably too much but the central premise and performances kept me glued to it however much it flails around. Like a particularly unwise bucking bronco session.
