Nightclub owner Mickey (Adrian Dunbar) is in trouble when it is discovered that Josef Locke, the legendary Irish tenor he had booked is in fact an impersonator. Now broke he heads to Ireland to track down the real Locke (Ned Beatty) who is there avoiding the UK tax authorities.

Fun, quasi fairytale story, similar in tone to 'Local Hero' and featuring many wonderful larger than life characters which all add to the fanciful, amusing mix. Dunbar and Nesbit are lively, fun companions and Beatty is fine as the tough Locke - not found until half way through the film. It all adds up to a rather silly but enjoyable climax which will leave you smiling.
