Creepiness masquerading as romance yet again...

Warning: Spoilers
I watched it, and I enjoyed some aspects of this show. However, there's a huge issue with how this show presents Kevin's crush on his coworker Audrey.

He crosses her boundaries constantly. He doesn't take no for an answer. He does kind things for her only to throw it back in her face for not responding to his affections in the way he wants. The show presents him as an empathetic character who is giving his all in his pure hearted, single minded pursuit of love without taking into consideration how creepy he is being.

In real life, these kinds of behaviors would end up in a restraining order. The fact that he stakes so much on Audrey - where he should live, what he should do with his life, etc, when they aren't even romantically involved is CONCERNING. It's obsessive.

I hate that these types of shows ultimately always have these characters end up together... like as long as you fight hard enough and emotionally manipulate people well enough then you'll wear down their defenses enough to get them to give in. Luckily, this show got axed so we'll never have to witness that.

There is an entire episode devoted to the crew digging into her personal life so that Kevin can take advantage of her in a moment of weakness to finally win her over. He uses info he gathers from taking creepy pictures of the stuff she has in her cubical. 🤢 Totally justifiable because he's in love, right? Wrong.

It's disappointing we're still presenting this type of stuff on TV and this was written by a woman. It's tone deaf.
