Hi, Mom is an unusual film. I didn't really know what to expect going into it and the movie surprised me a number of times. Certain parts made me laugh, other parts got me emotional, and some parts were confusing, but I'm guessing I would have understood those parts better if I knew more about Chinese culture. I would have liked the ending to be different, but overall I enjoyed the journey that Hi, Mom took me on.
