Everything about this is insane.
An apartment full of animals, office block on the 7th and a half floor with low ceilings and everyone working crouched over and of course the portal to Malkovich's head.
The film has a sensitivity to it which is what i believe makes the nonsense so believable.
The way John Malkovich isn't quite a household name, but people have sort of heard of him is brilliant (he was in that jewel thief movie) Full of meaning about not reaching one's potential.
It is hilarious, sensitive and sort of depressing all at the same time.
Possibly the most coherent surreal story ever told.
