Review of The Eye

Andor: The Eye (2022)
Season 1, Episode 6

Warning: Spoilers
This is it ! Andor is such a unique and creative spin on the Star Wars Universe and it is masterfully maneuvered by writers and directors who know their craft extremely well.

The Eye is a splendid climax, and as good as some of the other peaks in the SWU like ARC Troopers, Carnage of Krell, Redemption and The Tragedy.

The music is stunning and creates the perfect atmospheres and moods at the right times. Nemik's humanity is still at the forefront. The writing and cinematography are off the wall, with splendid imagery in the sky during an escape. The cast is impeccable and the directors know how to direct action in a way that matters.

The stakes are real. Anyone can die at any moment, or betray each other and it can feel natural. The only thing is we know Cassian will survive, but apart from that, it is pretty much tense all the way through.

Episode 6 is excellent at setting the scene, the stage for what is yet to come, while providing an iconic set piece and location. The Imperial troopers feel real and it was awesome to see them be afraid for once.

Skeen tried to double cross the group and leave, but we get a double twist with Cassian killing him and wanting out himself. I can't wait for the next episode.
