Wow, didn't expect this and am totally enjoying this tale of a person finding herself. Amy Schumer shows us a totally different, otherly funny side. Nothing like having a few life-changing events to push you beyond your comfort zone. One is after dumping her narcissistic boyfriend, Beth is intent on picking up her life. In one scene, she decides to go to a party even though she's not really ready for it. Driving down home after a bad date, she takes a deep breath, smiles a "I can't believe I'm doing this" grin and pulls a u-turn. Anyone who has ever changed courses in their life will totally appreciate this moment of liberation. I love the pacing of this show. Every punch line is dropped after the beat and not on. Totally enjoyable and realistic.
