Maple Valley Christmas

Warning: Spoilers
A Hallmark movie where the two lead characters kiss before the last 1-2 minutes? That's a rarity!

What isn't a rarity is Andrew Walker's performances. He is as good as there is in the Hallmark universe, and I don't think there's a movie - at least not that readily springs to mind - of his that I didn't enjoy. No wonder Crown Media signed him up to a long-term deal.

Walker plays the son of a cutthroat businessman sent to close a real estate deal - a well-used trope in the Hallmark universe, especially Christmas movies - and he ends up becoming entwined with the family next door, a maple farm that is going through some changes in management, as the family that owns it (and has owned it for decades) is going through some other changes, too. Peyton List as Erica is his love interest, and their chemistry is pretty good.

Nice Christmas elements (especially the music - really enjoyed it!) and decent performances by all involved. Not necessarily one I'll watch again, but a nice film nonetheless. Hard to give anything less than seven stars to Andrew Walker.
