Person of Interest: Bad Code (2012)
Season 2, Episode 2
Too many plot holes makes this unwatchable
14 January 2023
If I had a dollar every time people gave 9s and 10s to an episode that's terrible and unwatchable, I'd be so rich but then again TV audience aren't known for their intelligence are they?

In this episode POI tries to imitate CSI but fails miserably. This episode has so many plot holes, logical errors and inconsistencies, I forgot to count them after spotting 20 such errors.

Mr. Reese sees a random newspaper article from Texas from years ago and automatically concludes that this must be related to Roots for absolutely no reason. He finds out someone is sending someone books and calls the credit card company who conveniently tell him what town Roots lives without a warrant just like that. Then you have Mr. Reese going to the town where Roots lives and finding her house without even having an address but who cares about common sense and logic, right?

There is no explanation as to how Reese figured out anything yet he magically figures out one thing after another without any proof as if he has some magical powers or he's some type of super psychic. The episode doesn't even try to fit things into a context or explain how anything got solved. Reese just has a "feeling" and viola, everything fits into place perfectly.

Being a TV writer is the easiest job in the world. You can write complete nonsense and people will fall in love with it because they lack intelligence, common sense and logic which is why they watch this stuff anyways.
