Used Cars is a silly overrated film, with so many poor characters with extreme characterization.
It's not funny enough and because it's a farce, you don't care about the outcome. Opinion likely swayed by the director's other work, something often the case. It's clearly not a good film, it does manage to yield some laughs though and there's some eye candy and beagle fun. Not sure why Russell's character need lie to her in the first place though, when he was being sincere towards her father's interests, trying to stop the cold-hearted brother from taking over the business and property. It's not awful or anything, just too silly.
