A vast improvement.

Stuart Little 2 (2002) -

The story of this sequel had a bit more depth than its predecessor and because the characters had already been established in that previous film, the reduced set time enabled them to deliver that something extra.

It seemed more of an adventure than the first one and much more of what I would expect from this genre of film and its miniaturised world.

Snowbell (Nathan Lane) the cat was still the best character for me and his cowardice seemed to be appropriate after his trials in the last film.

However, the falcon, voiced by James Woods needed to either be more cartoon-like to fit with Stuart (Michael J. Fox) and Margalo (Meg Ryan) or more realistic to be frightening, because he just wasn't quite right, halfway as he was.

And although they were still quite a presence in the film, I liked the fact that Mr & Mrs Little (Hugh Laurie and Geena Davis) didn't appear to take the limelight as much as Stuart in this one.

Overall I felt that this film had more heart, a wittier sense of humour and an appropriate story that was delivered with an increase in fun.
