Kicking the old crew to the curb.

Warning: Spoilers
Wow! An episode tackling celebrity culture. I wish the aliens had a TMZ "reporter" using guerilla camera tactics to track the doctors movements abord the ship.

Barring a few exceptions, I view most celebrities as being extremely lucky. Even our beloved Star Trek actors (Shatner/Stewart/Ect) are not irreplaceable --- certainly in this giant world of ours another actor could do just as fine a job or perhaps even better in the role? Right? Well, in this episode the Doctor is placed on the pedestal and we get to experience the slippery slope that fame has on the psyche.

I love the Doctor but it is time for some real talk ----- The entire Voyager crew has grown with you and embraced your pursuit of individuality and you are just going to turn your back on them for the adoration of an alien society that appreciates your vocal range? Where is the loyalty?! Who's going to help SO9 on her discovery of humanity through space dates now? Looks like the Doc got to experience the emotional fallout of realizing he made a big mistake.

I actually enjoyed the journey in this episode but it felt like it would have been better placed in an earlier season. Somewhere around the point where Janeway was viewing him as a upgraded tricorder.
