Fairly Acceptable! But did not match the first impression of the trailer

I'm a big fan of cool engineering and those who make these wonders possible. This led me to watch this biographical movie about an Italian legend behind these amazing supercars. It was so compelling to see the legend from the days of struggling to build a tractor brand to launching ultra-high-performance supercars.

The film crew did a decent job bringing viewers back to post-war Italy in the 1960s. The old-time farms, towns, and machines were so amazing in sight. A soldier returns back to his village home to build better tractors and lead a new journey in his life. We also get to see the risks and hardships of his journey as rationally as possible. He went from being a tank mechanic in a war to a supercar designer. This realistic depiction is the best feature of the movie amongst all.

We also briefly see the rivalry with Ferrari and the way Lamborghini overcome those. The idea of using a modified tractor clutch in a supercar started the heat between them. Mr. Lamborghini was firm in his vision and delivered the best cars people have ever seen. This inspires us to give our best and come up with as creative ideas as we can. But don't expect too high to see rivalry in this movie, compared to Ford vs. Ferrari.

Actor Frank Grillo didn't feel like a perfect fit for me for this Italian designer role, but he turned out well. He deeply challenged himself from doing classic action movies to being a tech entrepreneur. His perfect engineering maniac mindset and his care for his people are a real charm. The plots of the movie show us what it really means to be determined. As a tech-savvy person, I was hoping to see some intense workshop/garage scenes but our action hero couldn't come close to Robert Downey Jr.'s performance.

This biopic neutrally portrays Mr. Lamborghini's dark and light sides. We can see the compassion part of him almost throughout the movie but there are times he commits something morally questionable. His distancing from his family and getting along with many love affairs were some of his dark spots. Though some might say the movie barely scratches the surface, I might say it has done enough with displaying personal and business life. This is the least interesting version of the Lamborghini founder's story and also kept neutral maybe for a good reason.

The movie was developed with real passion by the cast and crew. You won't see any fake screams or smiles since they have made their best attempts at making the story realistic. The movie's sentiment is heavily dominated by a deterministic feel, which is shown by him and his employees during the car designing phase. Our legend pushed the limit to achieve engineering and luxury masterpieces. We hardly hear such inspiring stories these days.

Frank Sinatra's famous quote from the movie still rings in my ears:" You buy a Ferrari when you want to be someone. You buy a Lamborghini when you are someone." Movies like this can remind us that we are completely able to conquer our dreams despite of challenges ahead. If you're looking for a more dramatic story, you may be disappointed.

The visuals of the film pale in comparison to big-budget films. But I am happy to say that they did not put unrealistic fancy graphics to present the supercars. This movie has some glaring flaws, especially with the production. This was not expected from the Oscar-winning director. There seems an issue with the audience range they're trying to reach, and could not lean on either the tech-business side or the melodrama side.

The storytelling, cast, and crew performance made it to the positive side of the movie, while technical flaws can be seen as a downside. Overall, it's a decent movie choice for grown-ups who do not focus so much on the technical stuff.
