I colony ship is sent out from earth into the unknown to find a new habitable planet. An accident causes the sleeping chambers of the adults on board to be ejected or destroyed and the young people have to fend for themselves.
Not a new scenario, but perfect, i guess, for the scifi channel. If it hits, they have a young adult drama that might get ratings and carry on for more than season. If it doesn't, drop it in the bin. I imagine they have a box over by the window with more retread scripts to pull out and film. Doesn't seem to matter, good shows or bad, they seem to have an endless supply.
Maybe they oughta film one of the AI-written science fiction scenario shows that have popped up on you tube (david lynch directs the muppets, or tim burton remakes star wars). At least the visuals are good.
I honestly can't tell you if the show is good or not - i've seen the first 2 episodes only, but it's not looking good here. I will say they don't shy away from taking out a character or two once in a while.
