Peter Fonda is surprisingly good in this episode. Let's face it, the father is out of control and perhaps dangerous, but the big politician takes out a gun and kills him. The sodbuster sons, one mentally handicapped, are devastated by the events. Verge, Fonda's character, is taken aback by the fact that his father was not armed but self defense was considered the motive. His brother is a sad case, dependent on him. He wants Verge to relax and accept what happened. He even goes to the old windbag and tells him his brother is planning to kill him. Things play out as patience works its way. All three main character are quite good and the conclusion is pretty satisfying.
