This was a waste of my time and I can tolerate most anything. I love Padre Pio and this movie wasn't about him despite the name. It was about a very poor village after WWI trying to bring about socialism as a means to overcome their poverty. Gratuitous nudity. Gratuitous violence. Padre Pio's life was maybe 5% of the content and even then it was unrelated to the weak story line. Nothing about his trials. No stigmata. No bilocution. Once very marginal scene with reading of souls. One marginal scene fighting the devil. He was portrayed as a weak man. Very dark. I was so disappointed. I would not recommend to anyone.
