Ten years before Magnum PI, Tom Selleck's first starring role found him unlocking the mystery of a spooky painting, a fiendish cult, in a tropical locale, while driving a red sports car. It's a slow moving curiosity that makes you want to fast forward to a good part. The dialogue is television quality but Selleck delivers them like a pro. His supporting cast leaves alot to be desired. I wish his haunted wife (Barra Grant) was played by a better actress. That could have vastly improved this film. Head priestess Tani Guthrie has a very weird and unique look especially when in her priestess gear (that looks like a rejected BATMAN TV show costume). Oh yeah and the ending is bonkers.
