Daughter of the Wolf (2019)

Gina Corano plays a mother Clair Hamilton desperate to get back her kidnapped son but things start to go wrong when the kidnappers try to kill her without releasing her son. Using her military skills she tracks the captors down. Several deaths occur in her quest to find her Charlie. Set in the wilderness of Canada this is an engrossing story set in a perpetually snowy landscape with the addition of wolves to add to the danger. Ms. Corano was excellent as usual and also great weight is given to the part of 'Father' by grizzled veteran Richard Dreyfuss. I liked the use of the wolves to suggest a mystical ambience but it isn't too pronounced. Would recommend you wear something warm when watching this. All that snow and ice made me shiver.
