Ignore the bait title. As someone that watched teen titans go first as a kid and recently watched teen titans under a week. I can say that the show is good and pretty much has nothing to do with the baby titans spin off.
I think there are several problems though.
I personally would've liked the show to only have story based episodes instead of the stupid side episodes that can be skipped without any problem. Atleast 1/3 of the episodes could be skipped and you can keep watching the series normally.
There is discontinuation with the plot, The story starts, then a side episode, and then the story continues
Then let's talk about the enemies they face. It always starts with the enemy destroying them and then after rematching it they destroy it. By destroying i mean just making them weak and living it alone, or taking them to prison just for them to escape and commit crimes again. I understand that its a kids show and they can't actually kill monsters but atleast if they could physically damage them a bit. I think the word kill was never mentioned in the show.
The best episodes are the one that follow the main storyline of course. The lowest point of the show was season 3, the cyborgs season. The ending is super lame and dumb and there was no good build up for it.
Sometimes they don't feel real, you never see the titans in different costumes and they are like unbeatable. For example in the last episodes Brain soldiers shoot at the titans, the bullets never hits them and makes me think about what would happen if they actually get it once by those soldiers? Would they die? Will the enemies in the show have a good aim for once?
The ending was definitely not supposed to be that lol. The voice actors said that the ending means that its a representation of the world changing for teenagers and that terra is just imagination because beast boy won't move on. So it wasn't made to be a cliff hanger.
Let me tell you that the creators surely don't care about giving a nice lesson to teenagers on their show ending. All they care, just like every company, is money. So why would they stop having money since everyone wants a season 6? I don't know, maybe its because there's teen titans go with a cheap animation easy to make and therefore have money easier. Let's pray to God that teen titans go dies and after their money generator disappears they will be forced to make a season 6.
However the more time passes, the least likely it will happen, at some point the Voice actors contract will end and they can just leave the series once and for all, they must be bored to work to the same thing for 20 years.
Overall, my top seasons are: (1)Season 5 There were fewer stupid side episodes and more episodes on the story and a good ending to it, even if only the villains fighter and not the main villain brain which is just a metal can so i cant blame him
(2)Season 4 I like raven and the satanic theme on this season. Trigon was too easy to beat tho
(3)Season 1 Slade is probably the best villain in the series and Robin is a good character. And this season mainly focuses on them
(4)Season 2 I dont dislike it that much, but terra could've been done better than just going to Slades sides for pretty much no reason at all
(5)Season 3.
The main villain sucked, cyborg sucked too.
