It was a good movie to watch, not boring at all. I think Ladybird represented being a teenager, esipecially a daughter, with a passive aggressive mom very well. I really related to the mother and daughter relationship which was painfull but healing at the same time since it helped me to see things from another perspective.
The main lead is self centered and wants the best for herself, eventually achieving her dream of going to college in NewYork. I personally did not judge her once for being selfish. She thought that she knew everything she wanted back then and acted accordingly with determination. It was nice to see her stand up for herself after trying to change for others too.
First love, first heartbreak, conflicts with her bestfriend, trying to figure out who she is, understanding the true value of what you had after you lose it. Such classic but strong themes.
