And They Lived Happily Ever After...
24 July 2023
A pretty basic movie. The "Indian Fighter" is for some reason a friend of the Indians and serves as a liaison between him and the white settlers and military, trying to keep them from getting themselves destroyed by the crushing incursions from manifest destiny.

It's a pretty silly movie. The protagonist is really good with a gun and always has a way out of scrapes. He assaults women point blank to take whatever he likes from them but doesn't want to be tied down by civilisation. He's honourable and always fights for his sort of justice even against the establishment and criminals. In other words, the prototypical western star.

The ending is hilarious in how abrupt it is. One little things solves all the problems between the Indians and the white man when in real life it'd probably get our hero hung.

Walter Matthau is in this movie, but his performance is underwhelming and there's barely any personality in it. He's part of a sleazy duo trying to get illicit profit from the Indians.

Honourable Mentions: Iron Eyes Cody commercials. Elsa Martinelli plays the Indian love interest of the protagonist in this movie. Another example, of darkish Italians used to play Indians in pop culture productions of USA. Odd.
