This is something a bit different from Hallmark, and provides an interesting alternate take on love. While most of their films are boy meets girl (even though the casts are often way too old to play out those sort of shenanigans) this one looks at what happens years after the happily ever after.
It's more of a drama than a comedy, which is handy because Polo's comic timing is mixed.
It gets its messages across in a touching way, walking the thin line between being sweet and not sickly.
I wish they'd given the in law characters some sort of flaws though, as they remained 'perfect' throughout.
All in all though I liked the fact that this film from Hallmark aspired to be something different.
