At the outset, I am a sikh and hugely respect and revere sikh culture , history and feel blessed to be part of such a humanitarian community which has been recognised all over the world due to its selfless service to the humanity , its big heartedness and generosity. Our gurus made this religion out of amalgamating ppl from myriad diasporas , castes and creed to follow the path of righteousness and courage.

As far as movie is concerned, it has a strong opening scene depicting the much ridiculed '12 o clock' sequence of sikh history. I was excited to see how the things unfold but 10 mins into the movie you are just staring at wasted opportunity of showcasing one of the most brave and compassionate community to inhabit the world. Poor screenplay, terrible cgi and incongruent cinematography makes it emotionally frustrating to watch. Main characters of the movie are busy frolicking just like any other punjabi movie these days with no effort put to the character development , ppl from initial sequence are very calmly forgotten about who were supposed to be the cruz of the story!

Movie wander around for another 2 hrs and it is only in the last 15-20 mins when gurpreet ghuggi delivers one of his best performances of the career that u become alive and throbbing and feel the power of 'ardaas' which put life in the dead.... Very very average movie of very very extraordinary and valiant history! Wait for it to come to ott.
