I loved the cast and though yes there are parallels to Bosch in the main character, I still think it stood well on its own merits. Bosch doesn't sing! If you like atmospheric British murder mystery shows, you will enjoy this one. It's not Line of Duty and it shouldn't be! I am so glad a second series of episodes will eventually be arriving! Adrian was terrific and the countryside was idyllic and nicely filmed. Loved the sets, especially the jazz club and Ridley's boathouse home. The show was also very inclusive and had a strong female lead. Not old fashioned but perhaps aimed at the middle aged Gen X viewer a bit. Glad PBS showed it over here!
