A firm stand against misogyny!
13 September 2023
If their intention was to make us loathe the Men here, I think they had succeeded in their plans as I hated their guts; I could not wait for them to die horrible deaths, part of the reason I liked how the film ended. Suffice it to say, It gave me immense pleasure and a sense of satisfaction that I tend to crave.

As far as the narrative is concerned, it is nothing too deep, relatively straightforward, actually. It valiantly speaks of the deep-seated misogyny that stretches across ages, thanks to unprincipled upbringing and ignorant parenting.

And I loved the fact that it did not just criticise the male figures in a particular household but also their female counterparts, for many inferentially approve of such misdeeds by not taking any stand against the abusive patriarchy.

A movie with the best of intentions suffered only because of its technical inefficiencies. With more budget and a more capable presence behind the camera, the end product would have been more effective.
