I watched the film many years ago and saw it again of Turner Classic Movies. "Custer Of The West" is a movie that is OK and then becomes terrific in the last 20 minutes. It has a pretty accurate Last Stand and is one of the few movies of that last stand that has Comanche as the lone survivor of that day in June, 1876. The performances were good and Robert Shaw's portrayal is second only to Errol Flynn in "They Died With Their Boots On". One historical note, the horse shown as the lone survivor was white while Comanche was reddish brown. I am giving the film eight stars plus one more for Comanche.
