Fear the Walking Dead (2015–2023)
6/10
Ruined by AMC and the showrunners since season 4

Warning: Spoilers
It was not that good from the start but it was fun to watch at least, till it wasn't. I think it really had a lot of potential if AMC wasn't just going after numbers. 3rd season was some of the best stuff we've ever gotten from TWD universe as for me. Thoughts of ''What could've been'' just bothers me sometimes.

There's a lot of reasons to the constant hate the show has been getting since the start:

1- It was mismarketed by AMC when the show was first getting announced as the show's whole idea was about ''the beginning of the apocalypse''. That's one.

2- It's so messy ''sometimes''. Some things happen just to happen. No backstories. No build ups. Just if something happens, it happens randomly. Lazy writing as we could name it.

3- The major problem, the new showrunners' idea of bringing Morgan into the show just to make it more like ''The Walking Dead'' so people could be more interested in it. I think Morgan is really selfish, stealing the spotlight in the blink of an eye. Why did the main characters that we saw from the beginning lose their own personalities all in a sudden?...

4- Bad acting at it's best. The main character, Madison. Oh my god. I'm not saying that her acting is bad but it's obvious that she either hates the show and she's just there for the money or she just doesn't feel like it sometimes because she isn't always that bad. The side characters too. A lot of bad acting. On the top of it really bad CGI too.

5- Frank Dillane wanting out. Or maybe they just cut him out so they could give more space to Morgan. A protagonist leaving a show never results in any good. Nick was the soul of this show. The show started with him. It was about him. Him leaving was the downfall of this show.

6- Bringing back dead characters because they can't move on with the story anymore. I don't think I need to explain this. As an example, Troy. Look I really love Troy, he's my favorite FTWD character but there's no way a person would make it out alive at the dam where he was lying UNCONSCIOUS after getting hit on the head with a hammer TWICE, then being blown up and probably drown in tons of water.

7- The slow pacing is so annoying. Having to go through 8 episodes (half a season) just for the gang to seperate and then get back together again really hurt my brain to watch. Ughh...

8- The writers don't really know what they're doing. Literally. As an example CRM's appearance on this show is... I don't know. I think they just want to tease Rick sometimes. Encourage the audience to keep going. Also some storylines are really stupid. I mean it makes you feel stupid when the screen goes black and you're staring at your reflection.

9- Some people just hate on it to hate on it. The show's name has gotten so bad that it's become a meme now. And, marking that it depends, but it can be said that it's overhated. You can also say that the reviews are a bit more honest unlike some of the other shows.

10- Flying a beer bottle shaped hot air balloon. Rest in peace Jimbo.

11- Cheesy, corny dialogues. The scenes popping in my head are hunting me while I'm writing this.

For the people that are desperate to hear something at least decent about this show, I'm gonna review the seasons using the kindest words that I can. Seasons 1, 2 and 4a are okay. 3 is awesome. 4b and 5 shuttle between okay and mid but mostly mid, sometimes even below. 6 is good. 7 is kind of bad but isn't really that bad as people say it is, I mean the cinematography is insane in this season but it has no logic whatsoever. Actually logic and plot holes are the main problems with this show. Can't go outside without a gas mask but sure can ride horses and all the animals remain just fine. Although the cinematography thing goes the same with season 8, 8a is really terrible but somehow one or two episodes are kind of entertaining. 8b is meh when Troy is on the screen but not always since they ruined his character too, other than that it's somewhere between bad and terrible. The ending to the story is kind of okay though, could've been a lot worse.

You can watch it if you have time. You can enjoy it if you're not a perfectionist. It's not always as bad as people make it seem to be. It has it's moments, trust me. But by the end of it, you'll just be left with a show you ''just watched''. It's not gonna be your favorite show or a show you can force on your friends to watch.

Definitely one of the shows.
